Forward 1 – Don’t Miss Out 2 Cor 9:6-8 Pr Chris Kam | 11/12 January 2020 ================================= Exodus 33:14 – “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” * Let My People Go (From the Past) – Exodus 5:1 * Here am I. Send me! Go … and tell this people. (In the Present) – Isaiah 6:8-9 * My Presence will go with you. (For the Future) – Exodus 33:14 & Matthew 28:17-20 (Go therefore and make disciples of all nations …) Big Idea: This will be a season of sowing. There will come a Season of Reaping. 1. Our Part 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously 2. God’s Part 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Cor 12:9) “My grace is sufficient for you ...” 3. Our Posture 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (1 Sam 15:22b) “To obey is better than sacrifice …” Sacrifice is an obedience from a form compliance rather than wholeheartedly from the heart. (2 Co 9:12–15) God-sized Dreams * God-sized dreams ensure our _______________. * God-sized dreams force us to _______________ others into a bigger story. * God-sized dreams give _____________ to Him, not us. (Heb 6:10) 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Application Questions: ====================== 1. What is your key takeaway from this weekend’s sermon? 2. Share one key thought what God is saying to you in your daily bible reading and journaling. If you have not been regular, encourage one another, start again, and have the CG members hold each other accountable. 3. What are your lions for 2020? Some of you may have written down your lions on the post-it notes on the last weekend celebration of 2019, or during Vision Day for the leaders. Share with the CG what they are and why they are a challenge to you. Share also how you are preparing for them. 4. In the spiritual principle of sowing and reaping (2 Cor 9:6-8), what will you be sowing into this year? Do you have a testimony of something you had sown into or are right now sowing, that is showing the fruits? 5. Why is our posture important to God? (2 Cor 9:7) Describe what that is and whether we exemplify that. Can others in our CG see that in us? How?
